Serial Thief Headed To Prison For Multiple Orange County Crimes A man who has been arrested for multiple crimes in the Hudson Valley is headed to prison. Orange County resident David Mead, age 32, of Middletown, was sentenced on Tuesday, March 5 to three to six years in prison in connection with previous guilty pleas to burglary and criminal possession of stolen property. According to Orange County District Attorney David M. Lane Closure, Traffic Stoppages Scheduled On I-84 In Orange County Motorists driving on I-84 in Orange County will see overnight lane closures and brief traffic stoppages for several days as crews perform construction work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that lane closures have been scheduled on I-84 in the Towns of Wallkill, Greenville, Montgomery and Wawayanda; and the City of Port Jervis beginning on Monday, July 15. Two Nabbed After Year-Long Orange County Heroin Trafficking Investigation Two Orange County men are behind bars following a year-long investigation into heroin trafficking in the area, according to the City of Middletown Police. Middletown police said their Narcotics Unit served two no-knock search warrants at two residences along with help from the state police and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force. During the search, officers seized 4,131 bags of heroin, with a street value of more than $40,000, and $1,614 in cash.
