Wallkill Man Acquitted In Teen's Slaying
An Orange County man has been cleared of all charges in connection to the 2015 fatal shooting of a teenager. A jury announced that Wallkill resident Jamaad Murphy, 26, was found not guilty of murder, manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon after two days of deliberation following a weeklong trial. On May 9, 2015, 16-year-old Terence West, Jr. was lured outside the Lake Street Apartments in Newburgh by a text message.
