The incident took place in Orange County on I-87 northbound in the town of Tuxedo around 12 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15. State Trooper From Orange County Accused Of Sexually Abusing Victim 'Known To Him,' Police Say A state trooper is facing multiple charges after police say he sexually abused a victim known to him. Orange County resident Matthew A. Stivala, age 32, of the Town of Monroe, was arrested on Saturday, July 23, and charged with: Two counts of first-degree sexual abuse (a Class D felony), First-degree criminal sex act (a Class B felony), Forcible touching (misdemeanor).  The charges stem from multiple incidents involving Stivala and the victim, police said. Area Woman Arrested For Burglary, Possession Of Pot, Police Say An area woman was arrested for allegedly burglarizing a home and spitting and kicking a state trooper after she was caught inside a home she didn't own. Jeanette Wright, age 32, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Saturday, March 6, after a state trooper responded to Stony Ford Road in Campbell Hall for a burglary in progress, said Trooper Steven Nevel. When the trooper arrived, he spotted Wright inside the residence.
