Friends and family members are working to raise funds through a GoFundMe for the family of a U.S. Coast Guard member who was killed last week during a crane accident while on duty in Alaska. Chief Warrant Officer Michael Kozloski, 35, was injured while working in the buoy yard when the accident occurred. Originally from Mahopac, Kozloski was assigned to the cutter Hickory. Coast Guard Member From Area, 35, Dies In Crane Accident
A member of the Coast Guard from the area died in a crane accident in Alaska, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The fatality occurred Thursday, Jan. 31 following the accident at the Coast Guard buoy yard in Homer, Alaska.
