According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, the incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, April 26, just before 6:40 p.m., when a blaze began inside a unit at a condominium building in Mahopac on East Lake Boulevard. Three-Alarm House Fire Breaks Out In Area A three-alarm fire broke out overnight, leaving a home heavily damaged in the area. The blaze began in Putnam County shortly before midnight on Monday, Dec. 23 at an East Court home in Mahopac Falls, fire officials said. The residence was fully engulfed when fire crews arrived at the house. A Legal Aid attorney and a lawyer for children were in the courtroom when Judge James Reitz suffered a heart attack, according to a new report by The New York Law Journal. After performing CPR, court officers using a defibrillator in an attempt to resuscitate him, were unable to revive him, the 57-year-old Reitz was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
