Orange County Man Admits Stalking, Beating Ex-Girlfriend, Ulster DA Says A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to stalking and criminal contempt on the first day a jury trial was set to begin. Orange County resident Raymond Brown Jr., age 50, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Aug. 29, in Ulster County Court. According to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office, the indictment charged Brown with repeated and numerous threatening text messages he sent to the victim, a former girlfriend.  He later followed through on his threats when he physically attacked her. Ex-Employee From Orange County Convicted Of Stealing $100K From Pharmacy A man who was the manager of an area pharmacy was convicted of stealing more than $100,000 in diabetic test strips over two years. Orange County resident Aatif Khan, of Newburgh, will be sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 27, for selling strips that he obtained at JNR Pharmacy in Brewster throughout the country. In addition to the felony charge of second-degree grand larceny, which can be punished by a maximum of 15 years in prison, Khan was slapped with a fourth-degree criminal tax fraud charge, as he failed to report any of his stolen income.
