Gun Buyback Program Scheduled In Orange County Some guns will soon be off Orange County streets as state and local law enforcement team up for a gun buyback program as officials attempt to get dangerous weapons off area streets. Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler announced that his office was teaming with Newburgh Police and New York State Police for the program, which is “designed to allow people to safely surrender guns and receive a Walmart gift card.” The program will be held between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 22 at the City of Newburgh Community Center on Washington Street.
