New Update: Four-Alarm Fire Destroys Building With Businesses, Apartments In Area Ten families and four businesses lost everything they owned during a four-alarm fire that swept through a three-story building that included both businesses and apartments. The fire started around 1:09 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Dutchess County at 10 Market Street, said Village of Wappingers Falls Police Lt. P. Capparelli.  The first officers on the scene, Sgt. Ludwig and Officer Farrell found an active fire at the scene when the responded to call reporting smoke, Capparelli said.
