Two teenagers were killed and a third was injured after a Porsche crashed off of an overpass onto train tracks before bursting into flames in Rockland County. The two-vehicle crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13 in Pearl River on Route 304 in the vicinity of the Crooked Hill Road overpass. Responding officers reported one of the vehicles was on fire along with serious injuries to multiple occupants. Drunk New City Driver Crashes Into Guide Rail In Pearl River, Police Say
A New City man has been charged with DWI after police say he crashed into a guide rail in Pearl River while under the influence. Orangetown Police say they responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on State Route 304 in the area of the Crooked Hill Road overpass in Pearl River on Saturday, Sept. 14 around 4:30 a.m. The on-scene investigation revealed that a 2011 Hyundai had become lodged against a center guide rail with extensive damage to the driver’s side, police say. The driver, identified as Eric Melter, 24, of New City, was determined to be intoxicated, according to police. …

Pearl River Crash Results In DWI Charge For 24-Year-Old
A Pearl River man was busted for alleged drunk driving following a traffic crash, police said. Cesar Ruballos, 24, was arrested around 3:55 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, after Orangetown Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Crooked Hill Road in Pearl River, Sgt. Kirk Vega said. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Ruballos was driving drunk and transported him to the Orangetown Police headquarters where he refused to take a breathalyzer test. Ruballos was charged with DWI and released. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8, 2019.
