Hudson Valley Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Child A Hudson Valley man was sentenced to prison for sexually abusing an area girl for sexual years beginning when she was 7 years old. Rockland County resident Sherman Brody, age 46, of Haverstraw, was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 1,  to 14 years in state prison, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh II. Brody was also sentenced to 10 years post-release supervision after pleading guilty to one count of course of sexual conduct against a child, the DA said. Man Wanted For Sexually Abusing Child In Orange County Nabbed Out Of State A man wanted in the area for the sexual abuse of a child under 13 years old was nabbed in the state of Florida and returned to face charges in the Hudson Valley. Edwin Rodriguez, 35, of Newport Richey, Florida, was wanted by New York State Police and the Orange County Child Protective Services for sexual contact with the child, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Man Charged With Predatory Sexual Assault Of Child In Area A 24-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child in the area, police said. Dov Weinraub was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 4, said Ramapo Police Det. Sgt. Michael Higgins. Weinraub, of Passaic, New Jersey, is accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 in the area, Higgins said. Chacon-Diaz of Central Nyack was arrested Thursday by the Clarkstown Police Department for the rape of the young girl who is a relative, said Det. Peter Walker, spokesman for the police department.
