O’Neill High School students and school employees are mourning the loss of a favorite teacher and coach who died Monday in an early morning car crash in the Town of Newburgh. Christopher Page, 27, an English teacher at the Highland Falls school for more than three years, was killed driving his 2015 Dodge Charger north on Route 300 around 6:45 a.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility police, according to Town of Newburgh Lt. Wallkill Man, 27, Killed After Crashing Into Pole On Route 300 A 27-year-old man was killed in an early morning crash after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a utility pole, according to Town of Newburgh Police. Christopher Page, 27, of the Hamlet of Wallkill, was traveling north on Route 300 at 6:45 a.m. Monday, when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a utility pole at the intersection of Union Avenue, said Lt. James Nenni. Page was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, Nenni added. Nenni said that Page was alone and that no other vehicles were involved.
