Support Pours In For Family Of Hudson Valley Student-Athlete Who Died At 17
Just one day after a popular 17-year-old student was laid to rest, support is pouring in for the family on a GoFundMe page.
Brendan James Maguire, 17, of Patterson died on Monday, Aug 20. He had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma 14 months ago.
He played both basketball and baseball at Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, where his courage and faith, displayed throughout his illness, inspired all those around him.
"Brendan was a great kid, one of the nicest, funniest, and most caring people we knew," said his teammates on the GoFundMe page started to help the family any expenses.…
