West Point Officials Discuss Sexual Assault At Board Of Visitors Meeting

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sexual assault and sexual harassment was a central topic during the Board of Visitors meeting at West Point on Friday, according to the Times Herald-Record.

Sixteen cases of sexual assault or sexual harassment have been reported so far during the 2017-18 year – roughly the same as last year, the Record reported. 

The most concerning point, according to Lt. Gen. Robert Caslen Jr., was that the accused in some cases was a faculty or staff member and not another cadet, the Record said.
