Dunkin Donuts, for one, is offering a complimentary medium hot coffee when you purchase a medium or large coffee.

Prefer Mickey D's? You can get a free medium McCafé beverage when you download (or if you already have) the McDonald's app.

7-Eleven offers a similar deal. From Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, all 7Rewards members (or those who have downloaded the app) get a free coffee of any size — one a day if desired.

Stewart's Shops are also giving away free coffee starting at noon.

Starbucks, it should be noted, is not offering any special deals but is instead changing its signage to reflect the brand’s ethical sourcing commitments and coffee farmer support.

For a real celebration, head to The Paleteria & Coffee Shop in Middletown where there will be a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. The shop, owned by a local couple, are offering half-price paletas or a bakery item with any coffee purchase (see previous Daily Voice story HERE).

Or head to Caffe Macchiato in Newburgh where you can get a $1.50 cup of black coffee to-go. The new price offer -- for take-out orders only -- will be going on indefinitely, making every day National Coffee Day.
