Cocktail Time: Walden's Angry Orchard Showcases Fall's Favorite Fruit

WALDEN, N.Y. -- Want to show off your inner bartender? Check out the following fall recipes from Walden-based Angry Orchard courtesy of Mixologist Jeremy Oertel.

Angry Orchard Mimosa (Angryosa)

  • ½ glass Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
  • ½ glass Orange Juice
Serve in a champagne flute.

Angry Mule

  • Vodka (1 oz)
  • Orange vodka could also be used, in which case, omit juice
  • Ginger Syrup (1/2 oz)
  • Simple syrup infused with fresh ginger
  • Orange Juice (Splash) 
  • Angry Orchard Crisp Apple (6oz)
Garnish with orange peel. Pour over ice.

Angarita

  • Tequila (1 oz)
  • Lime Juice (½ oz)
  • Pineapple Juice (½ oz)
  • Angry Orchard Crisp Apple (3 oz)

Orchard Fest Cocktail

  • ½ Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
  • ½ Samuel Adams Octoberfest

Mixology:

Fill half pint glass with Samuel Adams Octoberfest. Top with Angry Orchard Crisp Apple

Orchard’s Harvest

  • 4 oz Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
  • 1 oz Apple Brandy
  • 0.5 oz Maple Syrup
  • 0.5 oz Lemon Juice
  • 5-6 sage leaves

Method: Add apple brandy, maple syrup, lemon juice and sage leaves to shaker. Fine strain into rocks glass with ice. Top cocktail with Angry Orchard Crisp Apple. Garnish with lemon wheel and sage leaf.
