Motorists are advised that lane closures are expected to occur on Interstate 684 next week.
The closures, between Exit 1 (I-287) in Harrison and Exit 3 (Route 22) in North Castle, are slated to begin Monday, April 17 and last through Friday, April 21, so crews may perform maintenance activities, weather permitting.
Northbound lane closures are expected to occur Monday, April 17, through Wednesday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Southbound lane closures are expected to occur on Thursday, April 20, and Friday, April 21 from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes where possible.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
