Greenwich Woman Found Dead In Stamford Park A 54-year-old Fairfield County woman who was found dead in a busy park likely died from a drug overdose, police said. The incident took place in Stamford in Mianus River Park around 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 5. The woman, identified as Melissa Tiefer, of Greenwich, was found after a person walking in the park early in the morning noticed her lying on a blanket off a trail and not moving, said Assistant Chief Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police.
