SOMERS, N.Y. -- Five people, including three students, were hospitalized Monday afternoon when a passenger vehicle hit two school buses, sideswiping one bus and hitting the other head on, while traveling down Route 139, authorities said.
The driver of the car and a passenger were also taken to the hospital.
None of the injuries are life-threatening.
Between the three vehicles, there were approximately 60 people involved in the accident, authorities said.
Emergency responders were at the scene for approximately two hours.
