A woman from Westchester was busted by New York State Police troopers after allegedly being involved in a crash with a blood alcohol content nearly triple the legal limit.
Troopers from Rye were dispatched to a stretch of the New York State Thruway shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, where there was a report of a crash.
Police said that the investigation into the crash found that the driver, New Rochelle resident Tashana McLaren was allegedly driving while impaired. A breathalyzer at the scene found that her blood alcohol content was .19 percent and she was subsequently arrested.
McLaren was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and cited for several vehicle and traffic violations. Following her arraignment, McLaren was released to a sober third party and issued a ticket to return to the City of Rye Court on April 12.
