Driver Rescued From Rolled Over Vehicle After Hudson Valley Crash A driver was injured after their vehicle flipped on its side after a crash on a busy Hudson Valley road. The incident happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, April 30 around 8:50 a.m., when a vehicle rolled over at the intersection of Route 9D (Bear Mountain-Beacon Highway) and Peekskill Road in Cold Spring, according to the Cold Spring Fire Company No. 1. Lane Reduction Planned For Busy Roadway In Westchester A stretch of a busy roadway in the region will be reduced to a single lane in the coming days to facilitate roadway paving. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that motorists in Northern Westchester and Putnam counties should be aware that Route 9D between Manitou Station Road in Philipstown and Route 6 in Cortlandt will be reduced to a single lane with alternating traffic controlled by individuals with flags. The lane reduction will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday, Sept. 12, through Friday, Sept. 16, officials said.

Dutchess County resident Katherine Woisin, of Wappinger, died at the age of 85 in a crash on Route 9D in Wappinger at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, authorities said.  Authorities said Woisin was driving onto Route 9D from Alpine Drive when her vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle. Wanted Westchester Man Caught In Putnam A 24-year-old man with an active warrant out for his arrest in Westchester is facing new charges after being busted driving with illegal license plates during a stop for a broken brake light in Putnam. On Friday, Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. reported the arrest of Pleasantville resident Andrew Mikhail, who was arrested earlier this month on Route 9D in Philipstown following the routine traffic stop.
