Church in Hackensack.  An active member of her community, she was a member and past president of the Woman’s Club of Maywood, member and past treasurer of the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, served as a troop and pack leader with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and was a student of The Art School at Old Church in Demarest.  Prior to retiring, she was an executive assistant with A.C. John J. Lynch Jr., 94, Lifelong Bridgeport Resident BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Lifelong Bridgeport resident John J. Lynch Jr., died Thursday May 12. He was 94. Lynch was a World War II veteran that entered the U.S. Army Air Corp in 1941 and flew 15 B-17 invasions as part of the 388th Bombardment Group.  In January 1944, on a mission to Frankfurt, Germany, his plane was shot down over Busigny, France by a German fighter pilot.  He was taken into custody and spent 15 months in a series of German prison camps. He was liberated by General Patton's Third Army and awarded the Purple Heart.  Lynch joined the Bridgeport Police Department in October, 1950…
