West Nyack Rallies For 9-Year-Old With Diabetes WEST NYACK, N.Y. -- Chloe Karamitsos recently had a lot of company as she participated in a 5K run/walk to benefit juvenile diabetes research, according to a report in lohud.com. The 9-year-old from West Nyack has Type 1 diabetes but takes the condition in stride and is confident a cure will be found, lohud reported.  Chloe's mother, Denise Karamitsos, says the staff at her daughter's school, Strawtown Elementary, has been very helpful and supportive in managing Chloe's illness, according to lohud. Waldwick Settles With Contractor Regarding Sewer Line Break For $50K WALDWICK, N.J. -- The borough of Waldwick has reached a settlement with a cable contractor that broke a sewer line in 2014, according to a report in northjersey.com. Todd Cable Construction, based in Newport, N.Y., agreed to the settlement whereby the borough will receive $50,000 in damages, northjersey.com reported.
