U.S. Rep. Lowey to Speak at Scarsdale Forum

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – U.S. Rep. Nita M. Lowey (D-Harrison), who represents parts of Westchester and Rockland counties, will present the “State of Congress and the Nation” on Thursday at the Scarsdale Forum Inc. and the Town and Village Civic Club general membership meeting.

The annual meeting gets under way at 8 p.m. June 14 in the Scott Room at the Scarsdale Library. Prior to the meeting, there will be a reception honoring former Village Trustee Richard Toder and the members of the 2011-2012 Administrative, Joint and School Board Nominating committees beginning at 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome.

The second half of the evening’s program will feature several village officials speaking on a panel. Eric Hardy, the project director of CLT Appraisal Services, Village Manager Alfred A. Gatta and Village Assessor Nanette Albanese will discuss the project designed to reassess all Scarsdale properties over the next two years.

A question-and-answer period will follow each presentation.
