4 Charged In Drug Trafficking Scheme In Saratoga County An investigation into drug trafficking in the region has landed four suspects behind bars. Members of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit first arrested 41-year-old Shahid Smith, of Saratoga Springs, on Thursday, Dec. 29, following a “lengthy” investigation, the department said. He’s accused of selling and possessing cocaine, fentanyl, and crystal methamphetamine throughout Saratoga County, according to police. NY Woman Found With Fentanyl During Unrelated Court Appearance, Authorities Say A woman from the region who was already in court facing drug charges was caught carrying fentanyl in the courtroom, authorities said. Dutchess County resident Tami Halloran, age 46, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 16, more than a week after her Hyde Park home was searched by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force and city police. Investigators suspected that Halloran had been selling drugs out of her home.
