Woman Breaks Into Halfmoon Home, Attacks Resident, Police Say A 34-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home in the region and assaulting a resident. The Saratoga County incident happened Wednesday, Jan. 17, at a residence in the town of Halfmoon. Deputies were called shortly before 7 p.m. for a burglary in progress. By the time they arrived, the suspect had fled. An investigation determined that Jessie Smith, of Mechanicville, had entered the home without permission and physically assaulted and injured the victim, according to sheriff's officials.
