Duo's Stolen Joyride Ends In Pursuit, Crash In Saratoga Springs, Police Say A 17-year-old boy and a second defendant are accused of stealing a car and leading police on a chase before crashing in the region. The Saratoga County incident began around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, when a resident reported their car stolen from the driveway of their Saratoga Springs home. Officers spotted the vehicle a short time later on Circular Street and initiated a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over. Burglar Smashes Way Into Saratoga Springs Stewart's Shops, Police Say It didn’t take long for police to track down an accused burglar who allegedly smashed his way into a convenience store in the region. Officers in Saratoga Springs responded to the Stewart’s Shops near Broadway and Circular Street after an alarm was triggered at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28. The store’s front window had been shattered and there was evidence that someone had gone inside, police said.
