Capsized Boat Update: 1 Killed, 11 Injured When Tourist Vessel Overturns In NY Cave This story has been updated. One person is dead and several others are hospitalized after a tourist boat capsized in a New York cave. Emergency crews along the Erie Canal were called at around 11:20 a.m. Monday, June 12, with reports that a vessel had capsized at the Lockport Cave, located in Lockport in Niagara County. The historic site is located approximately 30 miles northeast of Buffalo.
