Two people were injured after being struck by a vehicle at a busy Fairfield County intersection in a crash involving a Hudson Valley man.
The incident took place in Stamford around 11:20 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14 at the intersection of Bedford Street and Broad Street.

A man identified as Atif Mitchell, age 43, of Waterbury, was driving a 2013 Mercedes-Benz when it crashed into a car in front of him, a 2018 Audi, causing the Audi to slam into a parked tractor-trailer, Connecticut State Police said.

Interstate 95 in Greenwich was closed for five hours following a fatal crash between a car and a freight truck.
The crash took place around 5:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30, on I-95 southbound just south of Exit 6 in Greenwich, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to police, a 2013 Honda CRV was traveling southbound in the left lane when it struck a large puddle of standing water due to heavy rain.

One of four people hospitalized following a double-fatal crash in Stamford remains in critical condition.
The crash took place around 2:32 a.m., Monday, Aug. 26, when a 2008 Nissan Altima struck two utility poles on Canal Street, just north of Ludlow Street, leaving two teens dead, and four others injured, said Stamford Police Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.
According to Booth, Kymoni Pollock, 19, died at the scene, and NiShawn Tolliver, 18, died at the hospital.

A Greenwich man was killed and two other men from Stamford were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on I-95 early Monday.
The crash, which killed Michael Vincente Chavez, 28, of Greenwich, took place around 4:10 a.m. on northbound I-95, north of Exit 6 in Stamford, said Connecticut State Trooper Kelly Grant.
According to police, the crash happened when the 2015 Honda Accord veered off the roadway into the grass shoulder area and struck a concrete wall of the Wilson Street Bridge, and rolled over, landing on the roof.
