Paving work on the parkway beginning Monday, May 23, will close one lane in both directions in Columbia County between Claverack and Chatham, according to the Department of Transportation. Lanes will be closed between State Route 217 and Interstate 90 each day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. Work is expected to wrap up Thursday, June 30. Lane Closures Scheduled For Paving On Throgs Neck Bridge Motorists planning on traveling over the Throgs Neck Bridge this weekend may want to plan on taking an alternate route. The MTA announced that there will be closures on the Bronx-bound lanes this weekend at the Throgs Neck Bridge, beginning Friday, Sept. 28 and spanning through Monday, Oct. 1 in time for the morning commute. MTA officials said that at least one lane will remain open to Bronx-bound traffic during the milling and paving project. Queens-bound lanes will be unaffected by the work.
