Impaired Hudson Valley Woman Bites Trooper During Assault, Police Say A woman who was high on drugs assaulted a state trooper and damaged his police vehicle during an arrest, New York State Police said. Troopers in Ulster County first made contact with the woman at around 9:45 p.m. Thursday, June 9, after witnessing her violate traffic laws on Washington Avenue in the town of Ulster, police said. While speaking with her, the trooper determined that she was under the influence of drugs and attempted to arrest her. But she became combative and resisted the officer’s efforts, police said.
