Traffic Alert Issued For Road Construction In Irvington A busy roadway in Westchester will be temporarily closed as contractors install a “rumble strip.” The Irvington Police Department announced that from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 25, only local traffic will be permitted on East Sunnyside Lane in Irvington to permit the Highway Department to install a centerline rumble strip along the narrow roadway. Paving Project Rescheduled For Busy Irvington Road There will be road closures and limited vehicular access to certain areas in Irvington for several days as DPW crews undergo a road resurfacing project in the area. East Sunnyside Lane was originally scheduled for milling and paving work on Monday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 9. However, paving operations have been rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10 due to weather.  While crews are performing the project, only local traffic will be permitted on East Sunnyside Lane.
