Westchester Man Charged With DWI In Detail
During a Halloween crackdown on impaired drivers, law enforcement agencies in Dutchess County arrested more than two dozen drivers for alleged DWI.
Between Thursday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 3, local, county and state police agencies teamed to increase DWI checkpoints and saturation patrols throughout Dutchess.
In total, 26 arrests were made, 25 of which were for impaired driving. The crackdown was the first of eight planned during the holiday season.

A popular bartender at the Beacon Hotel and upscale New York City restaurants, Christopher Castaldo died Thursday, Aug. 1 at his home, at age 52.
He was born July 12, 1967, in Beacon, son of John K. and the late Margaret (Peggy) Cataldo.
Castaldo graduated from Beacon High School, attended Dutchess Community College and then relocated to Manhattan to work as a bartender in upscale restaurants such as Match Uptown and L'Artisanal.

IDs Released For Victims In Double-Fatal I-84 Crash
Two people who were killed in a single-vehicle crash on a busy stretch of I-84 during the morning commute have been identified.
The crash took place around 6:41 a.m., Friday, May 17, on westbound I-84, when a Dodge Journey left the roadway and entered the enter median and struck a tree, said New York State Police Spokesman Steven Nevel.
Killed in the crash were Heather Morgan, 36, and her passenger, Derick Jones, 37, both of Beacon.
State Police are still investigating the crash, Nevel said.
