Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

20-Year-Old From Bethpage Accused Of Touching Woman Near School In Seaford A Long Island man has been accused of touching a woman near a local school following a weeks-long investigation. The incident happened on Sunday, June 23, in Seaford. According to Nassau County Police detectives, the woman, age 34, was walking in the rear of 751 Seamans Neck Road when she was approached by the suspect, who inappropriately touched her and fled on foot.  On Monday, Aug. 13, police announced the arrest of 20-year-old Michael Hernandez of Bethpage. Man Killed After Being Struck By SUV In North Bellmore A person was killed after being struck by an SUV on a busy Lon Island roadway. It happened around 2:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, in North Bellmore. A 71-year-old man was crossing Newbridge Road eastbound in the vicinity of Frisch Place when he was struck by a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee being operated by a 65-year-old man heading northbound, Nassau County Police said.  As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered severe head trauma and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician.  His identity has not yet been released. …

A Suffolk County Park Ranger was patrolling on Outer Beach in Smith Point County Park when he was notified that a man was in distress in the water at noontime Sunday, Aug. 11.
