RYE, N.Y. – The commissioner of the National Basketball Association, Adam Silver of Rye, has been named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.
NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar penned the entry on Silver, calling him a man of “openness, fairness and integrity,” according to Time.
Silver became NBA commissioner in February 2014, and has handled several controversial issues during his fairly brief tenure, Jabbar wrote.
