A 45-year-old teacher from Amherst, NY (Erie County) has been arrested for sex crimes stemming from Virginia, authorities said. Geoffrey J. Testa was arrested on a warrant for multiple felony child exploitation charges out of Fairfax, VA on Friday, Jan. 31, the New York State Police said. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a Hudson Valley girl who has been missing for nearly a week. Miamor Rivera, 12, of Poughkeepsie, was last seen on Saturday, Jan. 25, according to Poughkeepsie Police. She may have traveled to New Paltz or Middletown, police said. Man Struck By Car In Westchester, Hospitalized
A man was taken to a hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Westchester. The crash happened on Friday, Jan. 31 at around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Yonkers Avenue and Central Park Avenue in Yonkers, when an elderly man crossing the street was hit by a car after the driver failed to see him, according to Yonkers Police Sgt.
