RYE BROOK, N.Y. Rose Marie Salvatore of Rye Brook died Aug. 11. She was 85.
Salvatore was born Oct. 21, 1926, in Rye to Anthony and Anna Rinaldi Paen. Raised and educated in Rye, she graduated from Rye High School. On Oct. 3, 1948, she married Sam Salvatore at Church of the Resurrection. She worked as a homemaker and was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church.
She is survived by her husband, Sam, of Rye Brook; three children, Mauro (Denise) Salvatore, Anthony (Marilyn) Salvatore and Judy (Vincent) Mallamo, all of Port Chester; a brother, Tony Paen, of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren. Salvatore was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Vito Paen; and a sister, Millie Curran.
Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
