RYE, N.Y. -- The Granola Bar, a healthy eatery that was born out of two moms' desire to find good coffee (and good granola), is about to open its second Westchester location.
It will open in Rye at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Owners Julie Mountain and Dana Noorily admit they "Thelma and Louise'd it" when they opened their first location in Fairfield County in 2013. Now, their empire extends from their original spot in Westport to Greenwich, Stamford, Armonk (which opened Aug. 19) and now Purchase Street.
Among the items on the menu: drip coffee (with all kinds of milk options, think soy, almond, coconut), Paleo baked goods, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, wraps, the ever-popular avocado toast and, of course, granola and granola bars.
The Granola Bar Rye is at 96 Purchase St., 914-709-4229. Go to www.thegranolabarct.com/ for more information.
