Blaze Breaks Out At Shopping Plaza In Westchester: Developing
Firefighters were seen battling a blaze at a shopping plaza in Westchester. The fire broke out on Monday afternoon, Nov. 18 at the Vernon Place Shops in the area of 717 White Plains Rd. near the border of Eastchester and Scarsdale, according to reports. Authorities in Westchester are warning residents to be wary of a caller posing as police who asks about personal information. Part of a busy road in Northern Westchester was closed after a vehicle caught on fire. The blaze happened on Sunday, Nov. 17 just before 9 p.m., when flames were seen coming from a car at the intersection of Darlington Road and South Bedford Road (Route 172) in Bedford, according to the Bedford Fire Department.
