A high-speed police chase that ended with a crash has closed a major Westchester County roadway in two towns and injured a police officer, according to the Westchester County Police. The chase began around 11:30 a.m. Friday when a Westchester County Police officer received a notice that a car passing him on the Sawmill River Road in Mount Pleasant was wanted for a number of vehicle burglaries in Bethlehem, near Albany, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police.
