The owner and employee at smoke shops in Westchester are facing charges after being busted by investigators selling to minors during an undercover investigation, police announced. On Thursday, Nov. 11, members of the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Street Crime Unit launched an investigation into the underage sale of tobacco and concentrated cannabis to underage shoppers at Hartsdale Tobacco on East Hartsdale Avenue. New Details Released After Fiery Fatal Head-On Greenburgh Crash
New details have emerged in a fiery Westchester County crash that left one person dead. It happened around 11:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 17 in the area of Saw Mill River Road and Fieldcrest Drive in the Elmsford area of Greenburgh. According to Lieutenant Kobie Powell of the Greenburgh Police Department, a preliminary investigation indicated the vehicles involved, a Honda sedan and a fuel tanker, were engulfed in flames. IDs Released For Man Charged With DWI, Woman Killed In Westchester Pedestrian Crash
The identities of the 26-year-old man charged with driving while intoxicated and the woman killed in a crash across from the Westchester County Center in White Plains have been released. Glen Robinson, of Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford, was taken into custody by Westchester County Police at the crash scene on Saturday morning, Aug. 24. He was treated for minor injuries at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla and booked on the DWI charge at county police headquarters following his discharge from the hospital Saturday, according to Westchester County Police. Greenburgh Store Employees Charged With Selling Tobacco, Vaping Products
Police in Greenburgh went to work this week, targeting smoke shops that sell tobacco products to underage customers, leading to several arrests. On Monday, Feb. 4, members of the Greenburgh Police Department Drug and Alcohol Task Force conducted enforcement in the area, making three arrests of three employees at three different stores. Building Condemned After Fire Displaces 35 Greenburgh Residents
A total of 35 people have been displaced following a fire that broke out at a multiple-unit building late Friday afternoon in Westchester. There were no injuries reported in the blaze at 172 Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford Road, according to Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney. The building is across from Casa Building Products.
