Loretta DeLuca, 95, Dobbs Ferry Resident

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Loretta DeLuca, a longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry, died Wednesday, March 30. She was 95.

Born and raised in Yonkers, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Flood. She moved to Dobbs Ferry in 1955 and had been a resident for most of her adult life.

She is survived by her children, William Leo of Suffern, Susan Carforo of Pleasantville, and Ann Marie DeLuca of New Rochelle; her grandchildren, Kathleen Leo, Elizabeth Leo and Christine Carforo; and her great-grandson, Myles Jacob Genao.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Nunziantino Leo, in 1950; by her second husband, Louis DeLuca, in 1985; and her brother, Francis Flood.

Visiting was scheduled for Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home, 64 Ashford Ave., Dobbs Ferry. A Mass of the Resurrection will take place Friday, April 1, at noon at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to a local Meals on Wheels program.
