HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Residents are invited to a meeting on Wednesday, Jan.15 at the James V. Harmon Community Center in Hastings to comment on the initiative to sterilize deer in order to control the population.
The two men in charge of the plan, Tuft University's Dr. Rutberg and Rick Naugle of the Humane Society, will be at the Community Center at 6:30 p.m. to describe the effort and answer any questions from the public.
Those interested in volunteering can sign up afterward.
The community center is located at 44 Main Street.
