This talk will start with the biggest factors in college admissions and “what counts in college admissions,” but then go a step further, discussing what actual students have done to not only get into college giving real examples, but also show how those students shored up who they were as people and students, such that the admissions process was more about affirmation than anxiety. More than a Powerpoint presentation with bulleted steps, this will help students and families imagine the most effective and most imaginative process for them as they get ready to get admitted to college. “What Counts in the College Admissions Process” covers the following topics:

  • Finding the right match
  • How colleges admit students
  • What students have done in the past to get in and get the most out of college
  • How to stay calm throughout the entire process

This presentation is for students and families approaching the college process. For more information, visit http://www.irvingtonlibrary.org/ or contact Debbie Adler at 646-378-7872.
