The free event is co-presented by Westchester-based Groundwork Hudson Valley, which help residents reclaim and revitalize communities through agriculture and conservation.
Groundwork Hudson Valley focuses on neighborhoods with crumbling parks, abandoned houses, vacant lots and polluted waterways, which also are effected by crime, health and employment issues.
The event features Jennifer Sloan, Groundwork's Director of Education for the Science Barge, and Joan Dinowitz, a Groundwork Board Member, who will discuss micro-farming, floating farms and the variety of food production in Westchester.
