Already open for several weeks, Delibagel is set for its grand opening, Saturday, May 31. The eatery is located at 238 S. Highland Avenue (Arcadian Shopping Center) and features some the old favorites like its chicken, macaroni and cheese as well as some new offerings in its new home.
"After owning and operating a successful deli in Dobbs Ferry for 11 years, we decided to make a change, expand our menu and bring our passion for food to Ossining," Sanzo said. "Everything at Delibagel Cafe, is crafted with experience, combined with a love for food."
Delibagel features breakfast sandwiches, omelets, pancakes and an assortment of bagels with flavored cream cheeses and doughnuts for breakfast beginning at 6 a.m. Lunch lovers can find hot and cold specials in addition to sandwiches -- choose-your-own-topping salad bar and a steam table with daily specials of hot food, heroes, wraps, wings, salads and paninis.
Sanzo said his hometown of Ossining, where he moved with his family 11 years ago, and the surrounding business community have been welcoming.
"We're seeing new people every day as we get ready for the official grand opening," Sanzo said. "We have a busy neighborhood here -- with Phelps Hospital offices -- and other businesses and our neighbors in the area. We invite everyone to come and visit us."
