Road Rage: Orange County Man Rams Car, Threatens Driver On I-87, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly ramming the rear of a vehicle and threatening the driver with an edged weapon following a road rage incident.
The incident took place in Westchester County around 2:25 p.m., Friday, July 21 on I-87 in the city of Yonkers.
According to Trooper Tara McCormick, an investigation determined that Ruben D. Luciano, age 48, of the village of Florida, in Orange County, rear-ended a vehicle following a road rage incident, in which he reportedly exited his vehicle and threatened the other driver with an edged weapon.

Woman Hit With 31 Tickets After Fleeing Attempted Traffic Stop In Area, Police Say
A Hudson Valley woman who allegedly refused to stop for state police was issued 31 traffic tickets including one for driving impaired.
The incident took place in Orange County in the hamlet of Deerpark, around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 31.
According to state police, troopers spotted a 2020 Ford Mustang traveling on Peenpack Trail in Huguenot, in violation of several traffic laws, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
When troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, later identified as Orange County resident Brittaney Brush, age 29, of Huguenot, failed to stop, Nevel said.

Man Charged With DUI Following Crash In Area, State Police Say
A Northern Westchester man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after losing control of his vehicle and hitting an embankment.
Christopher Sweeting, age unavailable, of Yorktown, was arrested around 11 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 15 in Cortlandt, following the crash on Bear Mountain Bridge Road, said. Trooper AJ Hicks.
According to Hicks, Sweeting was traveling across the Bear Mountain Bridge Road when he crossed the center line and hit an embankment near Route 9.
Sweeting, who was injured, was transported to Westchester Medical Center, he added.

Two Hospitalized, One Critical, After Crashing Stolen Car During Chase, State Police Say
Two men were hospitalized, one in critical condition, after fleeing from New York State Police troopers in an allegedly stolen vehicle before crashing in the area.
Troopers on patrol at approximately 2 a.m. on Friday, May 7 on Route 9W in Ulster County in the Town of Lloyd attempted to stop the driver of a 2005 Nissan Sentra after he committed a traffic violation.
The troopers initiated a traffic stop, police said, but as they approached the Nissan, the driver - later identified as 20-year-old Poughkeepsie resident Anthony Ermo sped away from the scene, prompting a pursuit.

Man With Suspended License Nabbed With Drugs, State Police Say
A 44-year-old man was arrested on numerous drug and traffic charges after being stopped by state police.
Ulster County resident Eric Tischler, of the Town of Ulster, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 16, after being stopped in his 2003 Audi A4 by state police for a traffic violation, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
During the stop, the trooper found that Tischler was driving on a suspended license and that he was allegedly in possession of numerous drugs, including cocaine, Alprazolam, and Lorazepam, and concentrated cannabis contained in a vaporizer cartridge.

Man Drove Drunk With BAC Twice Limit In Rockland, Police Say
A man who committed multiple vehicle and traffic violations was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit, according to state police.
Fairfield County resident Javier Gonzalez, of Danbury, 56, was pulled over in Rockland County at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, in Clarkstown, according to state police.
Gonzalez was charged with the misdemeanor of aggravated driving while intoxicated, along with several violations.
He was released to a sober third party, and will appear in the Town of Clarkstown court next month.
Rockland Man Drove Drunk Three Times Legal Limit, Police Say
A 51-year-old man was nabbed allegedly driving drunk at three times the legal limit during a traffic stop.
The arrest took place around 11:15 p.m., Monday, May 18, in Rockland County when New York State Police stopped a vehicle on Interstate-87 in the village of South Nyack for several vehicle and traffic violations.
During the stop, the driver, Patrick A. Pierson, of West Nyack, was allegedly found to be intoxicated, said state police.
Pierson was taken into custody, and processed where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27 percent, state police said.
