Dutchess County resident Lorenzo Jackson, age 59, of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced in Orange County to one-and-half to three years in prison for the November 2022 incident in New Windsor, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Rockland County Man Sentenced In Scam To Defraud Workers A Wallkill man posing as a union recruiter was sentenced to one-and-half to three years in state prison for defrauding workers seeking jobs, according to Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler. Michael Allocca, 58, who pleaded guilty to scheming to defraud in January,  posed as a union recruiter from Laborer’s Union Local 731 and collected $150 each from at least 24 people to whom he had promised union jobs, the DA's office said.
