Owner Of Rockland Restaurant/Pub Charged With Sales Tax Evasion The owner of a popular restaurant and pub in Rockland County is facing charges for allegedly holding back nearly $500,000 in sales tax from the state. Thomas Schunke, the owner of D&D Restaurant and Pub in New City, was charged this week with five felony counts of criminal tax fraud and one felony count of grand larceny after turning himself into the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.
