A smoke shop in Westchester County was shut down after police discovered numerous law violations during a visit. Earlier report - Out Of Compliance: Police Shut Down 3 Yonkers Smoke Shops After Inspections On Tuesday, Nov. 1, police visited an unnamed smoke shop located in Yonkers at 403 McLean Ave. and found the store to be out of compliance, according to Yonkers Police. Smoke Shop In Hudson Valley Ordered To Close Due To Violations
A smoke shop in Westchester County has been closed down due to various violations. The Stationary & Convenient Store -- in Yonkers at 998 McLean Ave. was closed on Thursday, Sept. 8. An investigation was launched by the Yonkers police, fire, and building departments after they received complaints from local residents, said Det. Lt. Dean Politopoulos, of the Yonkers Police. The investigation found the store did not have a license to sell tobacco or a certificate of occupancy. There were also fire code violations, Politopoulos said. No word if the store will reopen.

Businesses Busted For Selling Alcohol, E-Cigarettes To Minors In Rockland
Two businesses in Rockland have been cited following a compliance check of local retailers that sell e-cigarette and alcohol products. The Clarkstown Police Department SMART Sales Unit worked with officers of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (SPCC) to carry out compliance checks of local businesses regarding minimum age purchase laws for e-cigarette (vape) and alcohol products throughout the month of August.
