Drunk Motorist Assaults Area Sheriff After Fleeing From His House At the height of the intense storm that hit the Hudson Valley on Tuesday, May 15, Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley spotted a stranger trespassing on his property in the town of Philipstown. Of course, being the sheriff, Langley went to investigate and met up with 33-year-old Brant D. Carter, who pulled away at a high rate of speed when he realized who he was talking to, the Sheriff's department announced on Tuesday, May 29.
